Jump in the car and travel less than an hour to find the cathedral city of Durham and Beamish Open Air Museum. Visit the Lake District, or Europe’s largest indoor shopping complex, the Metro Centre.
There are many challenging country golf courses, along with the excellent country course at Barnard Castle. There is horse racing at Redcar, Sedgefield, Thirsk, Catterick, York and Newcastle. You may, however, be content exploring the beautiful scenic countryside that surrounds The Jersey Farm Country Hotel. After a warm welcome you can explore the curious decor and original art. Step into the calm and chilled bar before heading on through to the conservatory, complete with a pool table and large plasma, and then onto the scenic terrace. Enjoy peace and quiet and maybe a board game in the residents lounge. The hotel even has its our own art gallery, Galleranna, where you can find a souvenir to remember your time with here.
